He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Fowler and Jean Fowler; his wife Char Selgren; his son Doug Fowler; his siblings, Bill Fowler, Stan Fowler, Jack Fowler, Bette Burman and Mary Gunderson; and his nieces, Jan Heivilin and Kim Selgren.
He is survived by: his son Michael Fowler; his sisters, Donna Glendenning and Bernice Lindquist; and his nieces and nephews, Denise Bielefeldt (Jay), Lisa Wilhelmson, Sara Bunch (Gary), Brian Selgren (Jan), George Glendenning (Pam), Terry Glendenning (Tammy), Kevin Glendenning (Kim) and Doug Glendenning (Jodi). He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crosspoint Church (3215 E State St, Rockford, IL 61108). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
