He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Gaynor and Lucille Gaynor; his wife Jeannie; and his brothers, Ronald and Darryl Gaynor.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Sr., M'Karyl and DeAnna; his grandchildren, Rodney Jr., Nicolas (Miki), Samantha and Erica; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Kinsley, Rockwell, Deamaree, Deamai, Dejuan and Assad; his stepbrothers, Donald and Charles Hicks; his sibling's children, Cynthia, Victoria, Rhonda, Vivian Gaynor and Ronald Gaynor Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Barbee (Melvin) and Milton Gerald (Veleria); and his godchildren, Beverly Alexander, Veronica Anthony, Diedre Harvey, Tracena Simpson and Forest Price, Jr..
