She was predeceased by: her parents, Galen Ballard and Jeanette Ballard (Ahlren); her husband Robert Stierman; her daughter Cynthia Stierman; her brothers, Ronald and Randy Ballard; her granddaughter Michelle Walt; and her son-in-law Mark Rodseth.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Daer, Gary Walt, Gregg Walt (Keli) and Barbara Schmidt (Rudy); her grandchildren, Dan Stierman (Shelia), Leslie Pearlson (Matthew), Aaron Thor (Erin), Robert Thor (Carol), Cassandra Daer, Stephanie Lawson (Kevin), Ryan Walt (Tabitha), Tiffany Woulfe (Michael), Troy Schmindt, Nathan Walt (Jessie), Trevor Walt (Megan), Scott Rodseth (Kristen), Steve Rodseth (Ashley) and Trenton Mohwinkle; her sister Sue Askea (Tony); and her sisters-in-law, Drue Ballard and Patty Ballard. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (2821 N Bell School Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
