She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Pryor and Frances Harriett Nickle (Peebles). She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Everett Berthusen; her daughters, Jane Gottlick (Peter) of Rockford, Amy Bliss (Mike) of Rockford, Katie Zak (Paul) of Naperville and Carrie Longfield (Jim) of Byron, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Elena Gottlick, Sophia Gottlick (Georgia McKee), Sarah Alexander (George), Grant Bliss (Kelsey), Caroline Zak, Christine Huffaker (Shane), Laura Zak, Timothy Zak, Alexia Longfield, Caden Longfield, Whitney Longfield and Elizabeth Longfield; and her brother Andy Nickle (Tina). She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rockford.
