He is survived by: his wife Helen Heffran; and his children, Rosemary Hope, Shirley Heffran, Theresa Heffran, Karen Heffran, Kathy Heffran, Mary Jo Johnson, Thomas Heffran Jr., Michael Heffran, Dallas Heffran, Beverly Gallagher, Russell Heffran, Beth Lowry and Michele Bast. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
