He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mailand and Thora Fisher; his siblings, Donald Mailand and Carolyn Sherwood; and his nephew George Mailand.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Greene, Thomas Mailand, Jr., Jerry Mailand, David Mailand and Kevin Mailand; and his siblings, Carl Mailand and Betsy Collings. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
