It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veronica Cortez of Rockford, Illinois, born in Harvard, Illinois, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eduardo Cortez and Colleen Cortez (Conant); her grandparents, Cletus, Doris Conant, Nicasio and Herminia Cortez; and her aunts and uncles, Allen Conant, Brad Conant Sr., Byrne Conant Sr. and Teresa Cortez.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Bernadino Reynoso; her son Aiden Reynoso; her siblings, Gloria Terrazas (Manuel) of Belvidere, IL, Angelita Gudorf of Blanchester, OH, Fatima Cortez of Harvard and Nicasio Cortez of Harvard; and her nieces and nephews, Anais, Samuel, Felix and Lucas.
