He is survived by: his grandson Cole McCarren (US Army); his daughters, Laura Wilks-Schardt (David) of Cherry Valley, IL and Linda McCarren (Jerome) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Amanda Wilks, Darell Wilks (Michelle), Angela Perez, Brittani White (Jake) and Jerome McCarren (Mara); his great grandchildren, Victoria Larrabee, Matthew, Caleb Wilks, Sydney, Lauren, Paitynn, Connor Wilks, Dominic, Alexis Perez, Azalea Rodriquez, Ryland, Aria White, Jaidyn McKinney, Kaenyn, Kamryn, Kayson McCarren, Lakelyn, Walker, Weston McCarren, Elijah, Vincent, Ella and Baby McCarren; and his great great grandchild Elijah Larrabee.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Northern Illinois Hospice or Special Olympics of Illinois.
