She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Wesley and Hassie Leigh Coleman (Rogers); and her siblings, Wesley, Garnet and Ruby.
She is survived by: her husband Robert James Hay of Rochelle; her children, Connie McAnly (James) of Rochelle and Craig Hay (Krystal) of Byron, IL; her grandchildren, Corinne May (James) of Milliken, CO, Sarah Miller (Gabriel) of Independence, IA, Daniel McAnly of Rochelle and Linda McAnly of Rochelle; her great grandchildren, Arielle, Liam May and Killian; her sister Lilla Farner of Maryville, TN; and her nieces and nephews, Bennie Coleman (Sandy) of Chesapeake, VA, Garry Farner (Kim), Jerry Farner (Kim), Randall Farner, Fleeta West (Sam), Lisa King, Jalonda Coleman and Michelle Anderson Whitby (Ronnie). She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Violet's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Serenity Hospice and Home.
