Violet Lyon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Lyon of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John O. Carlson and Christine Carlson (Gilen); her former husband Bud Lyon; her son Kevin Lyon (Vicki); her son-in-law Dave Kallal; her brother Leslie Carlson (Bobbi); and her brother-in-law Kurt Anderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Johnson (Todd) and Karen Kallal; her grandchildren, Jeff Phen, Kyle Johnson, Kjerstin Johnson, Kate Johnson, Kari Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Scott Powell, Wendy Merten, Kevin Powell and Michael Powell; her great grandchildren, Arianna Boyd and Emmaline Baecker; and her sister Glady Anderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Broadway Covenant Church (3525 Broadway, Rockford, IL 61108).
