It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Ahrens of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Wayne Ahrens to show support.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Wayne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Wayne farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Ahrens and Bonita Ahrens (Walts); and his aunt Margie Riley. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughter Ginger Strader (Ryan); and his grandsons, Dakota and Dylan Strader. He is also survived by numerous cousins; his dear friend.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Five Gates Church (821 4th Ave, Rockford, IL 61104).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Five Gates Church to continue Pastor Wayne's legacy of ministry and outreach.
