He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll F. Smith and Irene V. Smith (Carlson); his wife Penelope "Penny" Apgar; his siblings, Burdette Smith, Barbara Simler and Carolyn; and his parents-in-law, Earl and Pauline Apgar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shari Siracusa (Chuck) and Suzanne Myers; his grandchildren, Tony Siracusa (Ashlei), Zachary Myers and Alyssa Gartman (Richard); his great grandchild Leo Siracusa; his girlfriend Joan Backer; his siblings, Carroll "Gene" Smith, Darlene Catalani (Ronald) and Kathryn Anderson (Gail); and his siblings-in-law, Doug Simler, Robert Apgar (Jeanne), Sharon Smith and Pat Tucker (James). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
