William M. Whalen Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on December 18, 2023, at the age of 71, William M. Whalen (Rockford, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Whalen and Marjorie Whalen (Larkin); and his sister-in-law Helen Whalen. He is survived by: his wife Meg Bartel; his sons, Michael and Jimmy Whalen (Meghan); his grandchildren, Ella, Thomas, Trevor, Victoria and Tucker; his brothers, Frank and Charlie Whalen (Anita); his nieces and nephews, Stephen Whalen (Linda), Mary Holada (Bill), Charles (Julie) and Julia Whalen; and his pets, Roscoe and Sonny.
He also enjoyed being active with the boy scouts with his sons, volunteering with the democratic party, and over the years donating over 10 gallons of blood to the Northern Illinois blood bank.
