He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradley Wellington and Wilma Wellington (Schnulle); and his parents-in-law, Gordon and Ruth Wortman. He is survived by: his wife Lori Wellington (Wortman) of Byron, IL; his sons, Timothy Wellington of Byron, IL and Justin Wellington of Erlanger, KY; his siblings, Weston Wellington (Dory) of Freeport, IL, Wynette Wilson (Ken) of Leaf River, IL and Wenda Wellington of Freeport, IL; his brother-in-law Marc Wortman of Stillman Valley, IL; and his pets, Digger, Kanga and Roo.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the PrairieView Golf Club (6734 N German Church Rd, Byron, IL 61010).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hoo Haven Wildlife Rehabilitation of Durand, IL, Paws of Rockford, IL, or make a donation to the charity of your choice.
