She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Clark and Frances Clark; her husband Richard Medernach; her brother-in-law Fred Mackie; and her niece Sheila Mackie-Kramer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Geyer (Anthony Buth), Emily Buchanan (Kevin) and Martha Rhead (Tal); her grandchildren, Brett Buchanan, Emmeran Geyer (Micaela Magel) and Jennifer Rhead; her cousins, Robert and Arden Spooner; and her friend Phyllis Ryan Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joann's name may be given to the Rockton United Methodist Church.
