He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold H. Ament and Helen A. Ament (Mohrland); his wife Christine A. Roesch; his son Aaron Ament (Beth Johnson); his siblings, Harold Ament (Rachel), Joseph Ament (Rita), Betty Hughes and Jane Terrell (David); and his close friends, Carolyn Redenius and Diane Elliott. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
