He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Crane and Lillian Crane (Prader). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ann Crane (Barrett); his children, Karoline Crane-Whiting (Brian), Daniel Crane (Molly), Kelly Culpepper (Phil) and Kristina Bergles (Bryan); and his brother Robert Crane (Elaine). He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
