He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilario Chavez and Ramona Chavez; and his sister Carmen Rocha (Ramon). He is survived by: his wife Elvira Chavez; his children, Jose Chavez (Carmen) and Theresa Chavez; his grandchildren, Andrew Bangart, John Chavez, James Chavez, Donald Bangart, Lauren Mayen (Christian), Joseph Chavez and Aaron Chavez; his great grandchildren, Sofia and Christian; and his sister-in-law Ofelia Chavez (late Manuel). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Memorial Chapel & Heartland Cremation Services (606 Town Hall Dr, Romeoville, IL 60446). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (505 Kingston Dr, Romeoville, IL 60446).
