Carolyn J. Perez Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn J. Perez of Roscoe, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Carolyn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carolyn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Yakey and Marjorie Yakey; her sister-in-law Linda Yakey; and her siblings, David "Sonny" Yakey and Janet Hite (Howard).
She is survived by: her significant other Gilbert Perez; her daughters, Tina Olson (David) and Teresa Nelson (Erik); her sister Sharon Dunbar (Nick); and her sister-in-law Barbara Yakey. She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riverside Community Church (6816 N 2nd St, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Machesney Park (Machesney Park, IL).
