James Cooper Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Cooper of Roscoe, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on October 16, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Cooper and Margaret Cooper (Bower); and his sister Sue Schuur. He is survived by: his wife Deen; his stepsons, Jason McDonald (Laura) and Dax McDonald; his brother Terry Cooper; his brothers-in-law, Tom Schuur and Keith McGregor (Connie); his niece Kim Elam; and his great-nephews, Justin and Austin Peterson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Park City Church (10714 N 2nd St, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to People First of Illinois, Cause for Paws Rescue, or The Arc of Winnebago, Boone, and Ogle Counties.
