He is survived by : his parents, Jon Tanner and Adele Tanner; his son Chase Tanner; his siblings, Tracey Monte (Michael) and Toby Tanner; and his nieces and nephews, Morgan Goodrich (Caleb), Colin (Mollie Calvert) and Erin Smith.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Memorial Church (2715 N Alpine Rd, Rockford, IL 61114).
