He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Nyen and Gida Nyen (Pederson); his wife Dora Lee; his son-in-law Jorri Johnson; and his siblings, Alvin, Kermit, Konrad, Hazel and Gloria.
He is survived by: his children, April Giamalva (Tom), Kerry Nyen (Kathy), Raelene Hann (Fred), Laura Johnson (Jamie Leopold) and Eric Nyen (Amanda); his grandchildren, Hailee (Evan), Dina (Mason), Kyle (Ashley), Kaylyn (Lance), Josh (Danielle), Jacob (Veronica), Janelle, Jordon (Amanda), Sarah (Danny), Emmie, Erica and Elaina; his great grandchildren, Ailani, Vivian, Ryan, Brody, Geneva, Elijah, Abel, Ava and Declan; and his pet Raven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Delehanty Funeral Home (401 River Ln, Loves Park, IL 61111). A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
