He was predeceased by: his parent Helen M. Klein Blaylock. He is survived by: his grandmother Cecelia; his aunt Myrtle; his mother-in-law Dorothy Pugh; his wife Marcia Pugh; his daughter Jennifer Skrade (Michael) of Roscoe; his grandchildren, Alexa and Alexander "AJ"; his brother Kent (Colleen); his in-laws, John Pugh (Susan), Steve Pugh (Julie) and Debra Gray (Jeff); and his cousin Walter Hedge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred C. Olson Chapel (1001 2nd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Umb Pavilion.
Memorials in Steve's name can be made to UW Madison School of Veterinary Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or to your choice of a cancer care foundation, in honor of the kind caregivers at OSF 3East.
