She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred; and her great-grandparent Marjorie. She is survived by: her children, Joan Johnsen (Steve), Judy Ibeling (Kenneth), Jim Engel (Paulina) and Jeffrey Engel; and her sister Janet Schockmel (late John). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Roselle (333 S Roselle Rd, Roselle, IL 60172). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (405 Rush St, Roselle, IL 60172). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (127 W Irving Park Rd, Roselle, IL 60172).
Marjorie's contributions to Roselle were abundant, as she was an avid volunteer and a true steward of her community.
