He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Adkisson and Madeline Adkisson (Rankin); his wife Mary Ellen Shughart; and his stepmother Jean Adkisson. He is survived by: his son Sam Adkisson; his grandsons, Joe (Jessi), Jon and James; his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Oakli; his siblings, Susan VanArsdale (Jan) and Tom Adkisson; his nephews, Brian VanArsdale and Max Adkisson; and his niece Jonna VanArsdale. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roseville Fire Department or Roseville Ambulance and left in the care of the funeral home.
