Ruth McGhee Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ruth McGhee (Rosiclare, Illinois), whose life came to an end on May 7, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Columbus and Elizabeth Estes Rainey; her sister Betty Colbert; her sons, Michael Griffith and Robin Griffith; her stepdaughter Joan Dee Butts; and her grandchildren, Amanda Lowry, Dylan Griffith, Jake Blazosky and Virginia Crider.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patty Frakes (Rick) of DeSoto, IL, Pixie Simmons (Ed Demers) of Carterville, IL, Cathy Blazosky of Rosiclare, IL, Connie Crider of Rosiclare, IL and Marlena McGhee of Marion, IL; and her siblings, Mary Joiner of Rosiclare, IL and Charlie "Bud" Rainey of Chicago Heights, IL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Stone Church (6 Stone Church Rd, Rosiclare, IL 62938). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fluorine Cemetery.
