Charles Kenneth Cornell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Kenneth Cornell of Rossville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur O. Cornell and Hattie Cornell (Bertram); his wife Charlotte Lucille Wagoner; his siblings, Francis Cox (George), Helen Bergman (Jack), Beverly Wallace (Bob), Ray Cornell and Dean Cornell; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Cornell and Don Street.
He is survived by: his children, Philip Charles Cornell (Carolyn) of Moore, OK, Alice Huffman (Laurence) of Woodland, IL, Don Cornell (Lori) of Rossville, IL, Dennis Cornell (Janice) of Pasadena, MD and Debra Powell of Bloomington, IL; his sisters, Arthina Street, Dorothy Swan of Paxton, IL, Carolyn Haltiwanger (Jack) of Potomac, IL and Sharon Pollitt (Jim) of Potomac, IL; his sisters-in-law, Marlene Cornell of Westville, IL and Susie Cornell; and his brothers, Bob Cornell of Alexis, IL and Melvin Cornell (Tina) of Danville, IL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (427 E Main St, Hoopeston, IL 60942). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Chuck to Carle Hospice.
