He was predeceased by: his wife Katharina; his children, Heidy James and John M. Goettfert; and his granddaughter Miranda Gorski. He is survived by: his daughter Anita Gorski (Mark); his son-in-law Mike James (Tammy); his grandchildren, Mark Gorski (Christina), Stefanie Martinez (Gabino), Jesse and Valerie James; and his great grandchildren, Josephine Martinez and Emmett Gorski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
