With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bill Battaglia of Royalton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Battaglia and Juanita Battaglia (Vickery); his sister Brenda Joyce Colson; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanine Gossage and Lowell Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Battaglia of Royalton; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Pam Battaglia of Zeigler, IL; his daughter Cindy; his son-in-law Don Arvai of Zeigler; his grandchildren, Steve (Tarah Battaglia), Matthew (Katie Battaglia), Bailey (Kyle Griggs), Melissa Mitroka, Ashley (Johnny Chamness) and Dylan (Lindsey Arvai); his great grandchildren, Gunnar Battaglia, Charlie Battaglia, Emmaline Battaglia, Owen Battaglia, Sabel Griggs, Ellet Griggs, Rayder Chamness, Ridge Mitroka, Talula Chamness, Preslee Dillow and Haven Arvai; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Colson of Royalton and Mary Lou Hall of Herrin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Royalton Church of the Nazarene (412 W Third Street South, Royalton, IL 62983). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 412 West Third Street South, Royalton, IL 62983; envelopes will be available at the church.
