He was predeceased by: his father Lonnie Eugene Grammer; his brothers, Dennis Grammer and Lonnie Grammer Jr.; his brother-in-law Lee Snyder; his nephew Josh Lefler; and his niece Maggie Snyder.

He is survived by: his mother Verla Mae Grammer (Johnston) of Royalton; his wife Hilda Grammer of Royalton; his sons, Gabriel Grammer of Royalton and Christian Grammer of Royalton; and his siblings, Glenna Lefler (Jock) of Royalton, Cynthia Snyder of Murphysboro, Rebecca Land (Mike) of Glendale, Robin Hamrick (Mark) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark Grammer (Vicky) of Royalton and Kevin Grammer of Royalton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
