William Smart Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate William Smart of Rushville, Illinois, whose life came to an end on June 7, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollie Wayne and Vera Smart (Anderson); his wife Linda Ellen Prather; his siblings, Mervin, Melvin, Garold Smart and June Rehfelt; and his siblings-in-law, Diana Ocheltree, Dorothy Smart, Garnett Smart and Steve Ocheltree.
He is survived by: his son Eric Smart (Melinda) of Browning, Illinois; his grandson Brett Smart of Browning; his siblings, Kenny Smart (Carol) of Herrick, Larry Smart (Karla) of Tower Hill, Illinois, Joy Winter of Shelbyville, Helen Baker of Jonesville and Carolyn Bouchez of Pana, Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Randall Prather (Darlene) of Mindale and Patty Davis (Dale) of Rushville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home (900 W Wilson St, Rushville, IL 62681). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in memory of Bill are suggested to 2x4's for Hope or to the Frederick Christian Church.
