He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles S. Smith and Miriam E. Smith (Moyle); and his brother John William "Jack" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Estelle C. Smith (Nicol); his sons, Thomas M. Smith (Gwenn) of Washington, NJ and Richard J. "Rick" Smith (Tisha) of Sadorus, IL; his grandchildren, Nicole Detrick (Nathan), Jenna Smith (Ray Steinmann), Brynn Elizabeth Smith (Brayden), Brody Smith and Briley Martin (Jacob); his stepgrandchildren, Alayna Reynolds (Wilson) and Griffin Reynolds; and his great grandchildren, Stella Smith and Ayla Martin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Broadway United Methodist Church (2233 State Hwy Rt. 57, Broadway, NJ 08808). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
