He was predeceased by: his parents, Derwood V. Holmes and Lois Holmes (Butz); his wife Janice Netzel; his daughter Lisa Varboncoeur; and his sister Doreen Alice.
He is survived by: his son Thomas Holmes; his son-in-law Jon Varboncoeur; and his grandchildren, Tyler Holmes, Samantha Holmes and Steven Donofrio.
