She was predeceased by: her parents, Jozef Knapik and Karolina Knapik; her husband Chester Banas; her sons, Adrian Banas and Chester Banas; her brother Leonard Knapik; her half-sister Julie; and her grandson Dylan Forston.
She is survived by: her children, Maryann Vaszily, Deanne Forston (Rodney) and Charles Banas (Tarri); and her grandchildren, Adrian Banas, Michelene Tunca (Han), Alex Banas (Jennifer), Brian Vaszily (Iwona), Renee Banas, Gabriel Forston, Andy Banas (Shana), Nicole Stritzel (Greg), Kyle Banas and Tyler Banas (Judith). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a family of friends.
