He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Nielsen and Era Nielsen; his wife Judith; and his brothers, Robert and Walter Nielsen.

He is survived by: his friend Acacia Electric; and his daughters, Susan Hendricksen, Sheryl Sands (Ken) and Christine Taylor (Kevin). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a close family of friends.
