He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Barnick and Goldie E. Grubaugh. He is survived by: his wife Janet Barnick; his children, Dan Fearday (Lisa) of Eureka, MO, Candy Bly (Robert) of Towanda, IL, Kara LaMar of St. Elmo, Michelle Tague (Richard) of Cowden and Lara Smith (Justin Morrison) of Vandalia, IL; his sister Betty Britt of Patoka, IL; his grandson Ryan Fearday; his great grandchild Jack Robert Guttosch; and his siblings, Samuel, Joseph, Charles Barnick and Charlotte Cutright. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pagel Funeral Home- St. Elmo (100 Olive St, St Elmo, IL 62458). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Pagel Funeral Home (100 Olive St, St Elmo, IL 62458).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Cemetery, St. Bonaventure Cemetery, or the donor's choice.
