He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mahon and Edith Mahon (Ahlmann); his wife Kathleen Mahon of Peter's Lutheran Church; and his siblings, James, Dean, Charlie Mahon and Mary Mahon.
He is survived by: his children, David Mahon, Jr. of Shobonier, Matthew Mahon (Amber Huddlestun) of Waterloo and Michele Helbig (Glenn) of Okawville; and his grandchildren, Alexis Helbig, Austin Helbig, Patience Nelson and Amira Mahon.
