He was predeceased by : his father Roger Gottman; his grandparents, Kathryn and Dale Grames; and his niece Bella Watson. He is survived by : his mother Rhonda Grames of Salem; his sister Sandy Shook (Kevin) of Junction City; his nieces and nephews, Kyle Starr, Dayton Woods, Emma Woods, Kaylynn Shook and Gauge Shook; his stepsiblings, J. C. Watson (Jennifer), James Watson (Kender), Eric Watson, Allen Watson (Essa), Lenny Watson, Tanya Watson, Patty Bivens (Travis) and Mary Combs (Greg); and his nephew Brandon.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lockart-Green Funeral Home (308 W Poplar St, Beecher City, IL 62414). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (16320 N 200th St, Beecher City, IL 62414).
