He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Upton and Shirley Ann Upton (Woodworth); and his brothers, Steve and Kevin Upton. He is survived by: his children, Michael Upton, Stacy Morrell and Gary Williams; his grandchildren, Allison, R. J., Landon, Lucas, Kayla, Reis, Roxxi and Savannah; his great grandchildren, Ivy, Khaliya and Henry; his siblings, Darrell Upton (Marsha), Tommy Haynes and Marcie Baron; and his pet Remmi.

Memorials may be made in Jerry's honor to Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
