He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Nauert Sr. and Florence Elizabeth Nauert (Bumgarner); his brother Alvin Nauert; and his stepbrothers, Clyde Rodger Gumm and Kelly Jo Gumm.
He is survived by: his former wife Tina Hodge; his children, Robert Nauert and Jennifer Lewis (Nauert); his stepsons, Eric "Charlie" Barton and Rufus Ashby; and his siblings, Donald Keith Nauert (Kelly), Bruce Edward Nauert, Kenny Paul Nauert (Heather), Robin Eugene Morris (Shelly) and Gwendolyn Suzie Baker. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Legion of Centralia, an organization close to John's heart.
