He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin Leroy Helm and Winifred Helm (Helstand); and his wife Cheryl Holsapple-Helm. He is survived by : his former life partner Carla Dodson; his children, Holly Mansell (Phillip) of Odin, Cortney Helm-Tate (Curtis) of Salem, Ashley Helm of Salem and Kevin Brown of Odin; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Mansell, Zachary Mansell, Emilee Tate and Karissa Moore; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Jeter (Frank) of Texas, Robin Helm of Salem, David Helm (Linda) of Sikeston, MO, Howard Phillips (Cindy) of Iuka and Clifford Phillips (Jennie) of Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
