He was predeceased by : his parents, Everette Bumgarner and Lenora Bumgarner (Wooley); and his siblings, Dorothy Venters, Walter Bumgarner, Henery Bumgarner, George Bumgarner and Raymond Bumgarner.

He is survived by : his wife Sarah Bumgarner; his sons, William Bumgarner (Tammy) of Rome, Curtis Holstlaw of Salem and Keith Bumgarner (Katie) of Salem; his grandchildren, Caleb, Zoe, Cash and Kennedy; and his siblings, Clarence Bumgarner of Salem, Helen Easley of Virginia, Florence Morris of Salem and Utha Henson of Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
