Carlin Ruth Thomas Obituary

We bid farewell to Carlin Ruth Thomas of Sandoval, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 23, 2026 at the age of 93. Carlin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Hanks and Mary Hanks (Hanna); her former husband Earl Sinclair; her husband Harold Thomas; her siblings, Mark Hanks, Scott Hanks, David Hanks and Roberta Carpenter; her half-sister Hilda Webb; and her sons, Benjamin Sinclair and David Sinclair.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Martin (Raymond) and Randy Sinclair (Lavona) of Sandoval; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Sinclair of Sandoval; her sisters, Joann Logue of Peoria and Marilyn Blankinship (Jerry) of Peoria; and her sister-in-law Linda Hanks of Du Quoin. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Carlin's honor to Bethel Baptist Church and will be accepted for her family at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
