She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Podschweit and Clara Podschweit; her husband Dan Rivers; her daughter Debbie Buss; her stepdaughter Julianne Britt; her brothers, Gene, Dutch, Sonny and Jerry; and her former husband Robert Freer.
She is survived by: her son James Freer Sr. (Laura); her grandchildren, James Freer Jr., Ryan Freer, Jenna Buss and Sara Buss; her great grandchildren, Emersyn and Landon; her stepchildren, Daniel Rivers, Sr. (Leanne) and Susan Adams (Paul); her son-in-law Bryon Buss; and her siblings, Joan Bossert (Rick), Debbie Fell (Arlan), Randy Podschweit (Diane) and Diane Coronado (Nick). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Church (551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543).
