He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Johnson and Maxine Johnson; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bjorgo; his children, Brian Johnson (Jerilyn) of Plano, IL and Kimberly Glisson (Mike) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Vance Schmidt, Mikayla Schmidt, Ryleigh Johnson, Michael Glisson, Jr., Bryce Glisson, Robert Glisson and Ella Grace Glisson; and his great grandchild Henry Schmidt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home - Sandwich (606 E Arnold St, Sandwich, IL 60548). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or National Park Foundation.
