We announce the death of Kathryn Virginia Wells of Saunemin, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Kathryn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Harris and Margaret Harris (Richardson); her sister Geneva Cafin (Robert); and her grandson Billy Stevenson. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Herr (Mike) of Plainfield, Julie Mennenga (Scott) of Morris and Robby Wells of Saunemin; her grandchildren, Jessica Casey (Gerry), Zachary Herr (Katie), Kaycee Peña (Monica), Ryan Herr (Sarah), Nathan Stevenson (Robin Jensen) and Rachael Buchanan (Nathan); her stepgrandchildren, Gideon Yeager, Sophie Mennenga and Gracie Mennenga; and her sisters, Juanita Lingafelter and Sharon Eaton. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
The Wells family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Carle Foundation Hospital and Vitas Hospice for their expertise and tender, loving care. Memorials in Kathryn's memory may be made to Pontiac Bible Church, Pontiac IL, or the Livingston County Humane Society.
