We announce the death of Joe Edward Norris Sr. of Savanna, Illinois, born in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Joe will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norris and Helen Norris (Greek); and his children, Jerome and Sherry. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Norris (Singer); his sons, Joe Jr. Norris (Danielle) of Rochelle and Tim Norris (Jessica) of Mahomet, Illinois; his grandchildren, Matt, Rebecca, Josh Norris, Tyler and Carter Norris; and his brothers, Jim Norris (Fran) of St. Augustine and John Norris (Marlene) of DeKalb, Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Finch Funeral Home & Crematorium (310 Oak St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
