He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Clifton and Fern Clifton (Scott); his former wife Marilyn Clifton; his daughter Krista Adkins; his grandson Jacob Adkins; his son-in-law Mark Whitaker; his siblings, Raymond S. Clifton (Corrine) and Jane; and his stepfather Percy Divall.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Clifton; his children, Ruth Clifton, Steven Clifton and Douglas Clifton (Robin); his stepsons, Brian Dane and Scott Dane; his son-in-law Delbert Adkins; his grandchildren, Natalie, Ann, Jessica, Tyler, Haylie, Spencer and Davis; and his great grandchildren, Violet, Landon, Addalyn, Fisher, Amos, Eliza, Bailee, Wyatt, Danna, Madison and Skylar. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grace Church (2005 Estates Pkwy, Allen, TX 75002). The military honors will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 at the Dallas–fort Worth National Cemetery.
