With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Carney of Savoy, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sewell and Jewel Sewell; her sister Carolyn Daley; and her brother-in-law Fred Carnes. She is survived by: her husband Larry Carney; her son Marty Carney; her sisters, Emma Jean Carnes and Barbara Kendall; her siblings' children, Christine Bunn (Randy), Brad Carnes (Julie), Steve Daley (Michelle), Gregg Kendall (Amy) and Julie Kendall-Ashburn; and her great-nephews, Ronnie Bunn, Spencer Bunn, Chase Carnes, Hunter Carnes (Alona), Zac Daley, Aidan Kendall, Brennan Kendall and Gabriel Kendall (Holly).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (1602 S Prospect Ave, Savoy, IL 61874). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
