He was predeceased by: his parents, David F. and Mildred Mae (Robbins); his former wife Aleta Stark; his wife Betty Coon; and his brother Robert James.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff James of Havana, FL, Scott James (Tina) of Rantoul and Cindy Williams of Urbana; his grandson Joshua James; his stepchildren, Marvin Coon of Clear Water, FL, Bonnie Kumm (Ervin) of Champaign and Susan Wedig (Rick) of St. Joseph; and his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Gussman, Nic Wedig, Ryan Wedig and Karen Turnbough. He is also survived by five step great grandchildren.
